The KMFS VantaEdge Integral is a patented guided knife-sharpening system built around a reverse-kinematics mechanism — the first of its kind globally. Rather than requiring fixed knife-clamping depth, the system adjusts its own geometry to maintain a constant bevel angle at the blade edge regardless of how the knife is mounted. All parts are CNC-machined from solid billet stock in the Czech Republic. No plastic structural elements; no tolerance stacking.

Symmetrical design allows the clamp to be flipped upside-down to address the second bevel side — no knife re-clamping needed. Single-jaw clamping is sufficient for smaller blades. Max blade thickness accommodation: 7.5–8 mm.

The angle head is the heart of the reverse-kinematics architecture. Once the bolt is torqued into the selected hole, the geometry self-corrects throughout the sharpening stroke to hold that precise bevel regardless of clamping depth.

The guide rods mate with the linear bearing blocks to give absolutely straight stone travel with zero slop. The twin-rod configuration also prevents rotational twist of the stone holder — a common failure mode in single-rod designs.

Because the reverse-kinematics system compensates for different abrasive thicknesses, users can swap stones of different brands/thicknesses without re-zeroing the angle. Brass pins protect fingers from accidental contact with the knife edge during stroke.

The stand accepts the integral clamp on top of the support post. Designed for rigid bench-top use, but the VantaEdge integral can be operated entirely handheld — useful in the field where no table is available.
